I drilled 1 1/4" holes in bulkhead on each end of bunk in salon and inserted rod buts into them. I then placed two lengths of velcro towards the middle to hold tips. So far so good. The test will be to see if the velcro will hold the tips up in heavy seas.
Alright! Finally got those rods up off the bunk. Now you've got room to store more stuff. Way to go.

With enough velcro you can attach anything to whatever you want. Kind of like instant skyhooks. Wow, I am impressed with the size of a couple of the reel.
ReplyDeleteMORE STUFF? I think not Steve! Actually I'm waiting for the next sale, so we can get rid of more stuff! I also need to get rid of all that stuff (barnicles) clinging to the bottom of the boat. This bay is terrible about that.
ReplyDeleteYeah Coyote, velcro has many uses for sure. The reels that you refered to are 9/0 Penns.
Methinks you're going to need a smaller boat if you keep getting rid of stuff. -Steve
