We must have the boat completed by Tuesday night, because Wednesday is splash day. Today Judy will paint the port side bottom green. I will shape and install the inside faring blocks on the transducers. They must be angled correctly, or they will put excessive side pressure on the transducers and cause them to leak. We sure don't want that. After completion of this alignment, I will install a new zinc on the prop. We already cleaned and polished the prop and when doing so, discovered the cutlass bearing could use replacement, but we will try to make it last until it is time to haul out next fall. Yesterday I made mounts for the sonar screen and GPS above the compass in the cockpit and cleaned it up a bit. I will try to hook up the sonar before we splash, if time allows. Otherwise, I will have to do it at anchor. I started to read the instructions of operation for the sonar and discovered it to be a bit complicated, but I will not be intimidated, I will conquer it. I hope! Judy referred to it as "A master's in sonar course." One of the bow lights is out, so I must remember to check it also. It's six in the morning now, so I must get to work. Have a great day!
The sonar screen with GPS mounted above. Will straighten it up later.
